MSD, a global leader in biopharmaceuticals, returned to the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the seventh year, bringing its full range of medical innovations from prevention to treatment and its long-term commitment to the Chinese market.
Under the theme, "Leading-Edge Science for a Healthier Future," the booth and exhibits showcase innovations in MSD's existing product portfolio and pipeline. Additionally, they highlight the company's aspiration to contribute to Healthy China 2030.
The company's medical innovations at the forefront of science, collaborative R&D partnerships with domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, and over three decades of steadfast commitment to corporate responsibility in China underscore its unwavering conviction to save and improve lives, and build a healthier future together.

"China is a critical market for us as an important part of our growth strategy, and we also believe it's central to our purpose of reaching more patients and saving and improving lives," said Kyle Tattle, senior vice president of MSD and president of MSD China.
"CIIE is a prime occasion to exchange with players across different industries and to get inspired by the innovations in China," he said.
"It's also an inspiring environment to meet with government officials to understand what their opportunities, challenges, and priorities are," he added.
Several medicines shown as pipeline at last year's CIIE have been approved and launched in China, giving patients with drug-resistant bacterial infections and rare diseases new treatment options.
"Very important for us as a company is our HPV vaccine, we're very proud that our HPV vaccine now has protected more than 50 million Chinese women and girls from the risks of HPV – related disease. More importantly, this year, the HPV vaccine became the first and only one to be approved to prevent HPV disease in males in China as well." he noted.
Currently, MSD is also speeding up its clinical research across multiple therapeutic areas in China.
"We aspire to launch somewhere around 40 new products or indications in the next 5 years and bring those innovations to Chinese patients," he said.

In the animal health sector, MSD shows products and solutions across five key business areas: pets, poultry, swine, ruminants and aquaculture.
A series of events were staged at this year's CIIE to raise public awareness on key areas such as oncology, rare diseases and public health.
The kick-off ceremony was held to mark the launch of its major patient assistance program, jointly with the China Primary Health Care Foundation, for those with Von Hippel-Lindau disease, a rare autosomal dominant disorder.
This new initiative further underscores MSD's long-standing commitment to enhancing patient access and supporting the long-term vision of Healthy China.
"It's a great opportunity to exchange with our peers and learn from government stakeholders and understand and see how we can be more effective in bringing our innovations to patients sooner and faster, and I look forward to participating in many more editions of the expo as a company," Tattle said.
